GET on board Queenscliff, your Blues Train has been voted one of the most popular destinations in Victoria.
More than 72,000 votes were registered in an RACV survey which asked people to vote for their favourite among 600 Victorian tourism experiences.
The top 101 were revealed on Channel Nine travel show `Postcards'.
The Queenscliff Blues Train came in at number six, knocking off popular destinations and activities such as Sovereign Hill and Puffing Billy.
Blues Train manager Hugo Armstrong said he was thrilled to make it into the exclusive 101, let alone finish in the top 10.
``We're really happy to be in there, and especially to be the only music event there,'' Mr Armstrong said.
``We were in the top 10 for nearly all the campaign but you always have that little bit of apprehension that you might be knocked out.''
Beginning its 14th season this Saturday, the Blues Train was founded in 1994 when Mr Armstrong joined forces with Pasquini's Deli of Point Lonsdale, after the train had been used for similar concerts without the blues twist.
After making some mixed tapes and joining forces with local musicians, Mr Armstrong started what has now become one of the most popular and renowned dining and musical experiences in the country.
``It's such a unique show that we only create new shows once the old shows have sold out,'' he said.
``So many people book way in advance, and we've got people coming from interstate and all around Victoria just to experience the Blues Train.''
However, while Mr Armstrong said it was an honour to receive the praise for his hard work, the dedication of volunteers needed to be acknowledged as well.
``There would be no Blues Train without the volunteers, and I'd like to acknowledge what they do for us,'' Mr Armstrong said.
``There's a huge amount of work done, from driving the train to keeping it going, and while it's nice to get the accolades, these people need to be mentioned also.''
The Blues Train finished voting strongly on the list, falling just short of popular destinations including the Great Ocean Road, the Ford Discovery Centre and Wilson's Promontory.
The new Blues Train season is set to begin this Saturday.
