The Blues Train - Shake Rattle 'n' Roll

The Artists

The Detonators
Before rock, there was rockabilly, blues and rhythm'n'blues. The Detonators, through their original songs, recreate the styles that made the mid-to-late 50s such a vital time in music's history. They play an era, not simply a genre.

Their inimitable sound is infused with the driving energy that's inherent in the music of their heroes - Chuck Berry, Little Walter and Hound Dog Taylor. Melbourne-based, they have just released their fourth album, Top Night Out.

The Detonators are 'Rockbottom' James Moloney on vocals and harmonica, Paulie 'The Kid' Bignell on guitar, 'Doghouse' Dave Philpots on bull fiddle bass and Eddie Fury on sticks and skins.

'The Detonators' blazing jump-rock tunes are as slick as their teddy-boy quiffs.' - MX newspaper
